  • Tuition is non-refundable and non-transferable.
  • All field trips and overnight travel programs are included in the tuition.
  • Tuition includes the cost of books and basic supplies at all grade levels.
  • We ask all families to contribute yearly to our Annual Giving Fund and participate in our annual Auction.

Tuition Payment Plans:

  • PLAN A – Full Payment
  • PLAN B – 2 Monthly Payments
  • PLAN C – 10 Monthly Payments

PLAN B will include a $100 convenience fee, and PLAN C will include a 3% finance charge.

Dewar Tuition Refund Plan:

This plan is optional for Plan A and B and mandatory for Plan C. Participants will be charged an additional 2.4% of tuition less the non-refundable deposit.

All students are enrolled for the full academic year and no refund or cancellation of the annual charges can be made for absence, withdrawal or dismissal. The Dewar Tuition Refund Plan provides tuition insurance protection for both the school and parents. This plan provides an allowance for tuition charges in the event your child is withdrawn for medical or other reasons. You may download a copy of the Tuition Refund Plan below.

Extended Day Fees:

Extended Day is offered Monday - Friday, 7:30AM - 6PM. You will be billed on a monthly basis for your usage. Drop-in and regular use plans are available.

Financial Aid

The Saklan School recognizes that the cost of an independent school education may exceed the financial capabilities of some families; therefore, financial aid is available.

The Saklan School is a member of the School and Student Service for Financial Aid organization (SSS) that assists schools in making awards to families who demonstrate financial need. Award amounts are determined based on a family’s need and on the availability of funds at The Saklan School.

The Financial Aid Committee will review all requests and supporting materials submitted. Applications will continue to be accepted until the available pool of aid is depleted. Families who have submitted forms by the February deadline will be notified of awards in March of 2018. Returning families must reapply each year.

How to apply for Financial Aid for the 2018-19 School Year:

The step by step process of applying for Financial Aid is outlined below.

By January 26, 2018:

1) Log on to the School & Student Services website at Click on the blue “Login to Complete or Update Your Parents' Financial Statement (PFS) →" under SSS For Families. The Saklan School’s code is 7047. You will be given a password that will allow you to save and come back to your PFS as needed. There is a processing fee payable to SSS of approximately $50.

2) Upload a copy of your 2016 1040 Federal Tax Return(s) with all schedules, W-2 Forms and/or 1099 Forms on the SSS website on the "Manage Documents" screen. Alternately, mail them to: SSS by NAIS, Application Processing Center, P.O. Box 449, Randolph, MA, 02368-0449.

3) Complete and return the Financial Aid Supplemental Form (below) to:

By March 2, 2018, a copy of your 2017 1040 Federal Tax Return(s) with all schedules, W-2 Forms and/or 1099 Forms must be submitted directly to SSS by uploading them to the SSS website or mailing them to: SSS/Overnight Mail, Application Processing Center, 437 Turnpike St., Canton, MA, 02021.

Note: In the case of divorced or separated parents, both parties must apply, regardless of custody or payment arrangements.

Completed Financial Aid applications will be reviewed by the Financial Aid Committee. Applicants will be notified simultaneously of admissions decisions and Financial Aid decisions.
