Meredith joined the Saklan community as a parent in 2016. In 2018, she volunteered to create the school’s library and continued managing it as a volunteer until joining the staff as Library Coordinator in 2020. Before coming to Saklan, she built a varied career spanning design, technology, environmental sustainability, and entrepreneurship. She worked in higher-education marketing at Apple, led sustainability and engineering teams, owned a yoga studio, and patented several inventions—including EcoRock, which was recognized by Popular Science as one of the year’s top inventions.
The thread connecting Meredith’s diverse experiences is an enduring curiosity and quest for knowledge. She brings that same spirit to the library, encouraging students to explore new ideas, discover books that speak to them, and venture beyond their familiar reading choices. She strives to know each child as an individual while creating a welcoming space that fosters creativity, inclusion, social-emotional growth, and a lifelong love of reading. She also collaborates with teachers to support classroom instruction and Project Based Learning.
Outside of school, Meredith enjoys gardening, yoga, meditation, painting, traveling, hiking, and spending time with her kids.
