Lauren joined the Saklan community in 2021, and has over a decade of experience teaching visual arts. She is trained in
Responsive Classroom and enjoys instructing students through the use of ceramics, painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, fiber arts, photography, media arts, and creating the annual Art Show. Her previous teaching experience blended project-based learning with a solid social-emotional approach. Having gone to a small, independent school herself as a child, Lauren understands the benefits of intimate classrooms and the relationships built between the teachers and the students.
