David joined Saklan as Head of School in July of 2018 and has been in education for over 25 years, 15 of those years as a classroom teacher. David’s background has been both as an international educator (Latin America, Asia, and Europe) and as a progressive educator leading a project-based middle school in the U.S. David brings a passion for a type of education that is academically challenging, hands-on and caring, fostering a community that is ready to have a positive impact on their world.
