What is the Annual Giving Fund, and Why Do We Have It?
The Annual Giving Fund (AGF) is Saklan’s yearly fundraising campaign that supports the people, programs, and experiences that make a Saklan education exceptional. Gifts to the AGF help fund academic programs, faculty professional development, field experiences, financial assistance, campus improvements, and other strategic priorities that enrich the student experience.
The AGF is also an expression of our community’s shared commitment to Saklan’s mission. Participation from parents, grandparents, alumni, faculty, staff, and friends demonstrates collective investment in the school and helps ensure that current and future students continue to benefit from the opportunities that make Saklan unique.
Every gift, regardless of size, makes a meaningful impact.
What is my contribution used for?
Contributions to the Annual Giving Fund help sustain and strengthen the Saklan experience. Your support enables the school to maintain small class sizes, attract and retain exceptional faculty, provide financial assistance, invest in professional development, enhance programs, support campus improvements, and create meaningful learning opportunities for students.
How much should I give?
Only you can determine what is meaningful for your family. We encourage every family to make a gift that reflects both their philanthropic priorities and their appreciation for the Saklan experience. Every contribution matters, whether it is $20,000, $20, or anywhere in between. During the 2024–2025 school year, the average AGF gift was $1,205.
Is my contribution tax-deductible?
Yes. The Saklan School is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization. Donations to the Annual Giving Fund are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law.
Can I PLEDGE NOW and PAY LATER?
Yes. A pledge allows you to commit to a gift now and fulfill it over the course of the school year. Pledges may be submitted to [email protected], and we ask that all pledges be fulfilled by May 28, 2027.
Can I use my credit card to make a gift? Can I make a gift online?
Yes. Gifts can be made by credit card on our secure giving site. Online giving allows your contribution to be received immediately, ensuring that Saklan students benefit from your generosity as soon as possible.
What is a Company Matching Gift Program?
Many companies offer matching gift programs that match charitable donations made by employees, often doubling or even tripling the impact of a gift. Contact your employer’s Human Resources department or the Saklan Advancement Office to learn whether your company participates in a matching gift program.
