ANNUAL CONCERT

Every March, our entire student body (preschool-8th grade) performs a concert at the Dean Lesher Theater in Walnut Creek. A common theme unites the stellar performances from the children, including solos, instruments, cross-grade collaboration, and choreography. It is a great cumulative celebration of our comprehensive music program.

LOWER SCHOOL MUSICAL & MIDDLE SCHOOL MUSICAL

Third through fifth graders audition for and participate in a school musical each December, and the Middle School students do the same at the Town Hall Theater in May. Whether it’s set building, stage managing, working on sound, playing in the live band, taking on lead roles or being a part of the ensemble, each student contributes to the success of each show, learning just how critical collaboration skills are.

PARENT EDUCATION SERIES

Each year our Parent Association organizes authors and various expert speakers to educate parents about relevant issues in the world of education and/or parenting. Some past examples have included cyber-bullying, teen esteem, and nutrition. Most recently, we’ve hosted:

"What Great Parents Do" featuring author Dr. Erica Reischer

“The Saklan Academic Edge” with Vickie Obenchain and Kim Parks

“How to help our kids manage social media safely” featuring Sargent South from Moraga PD

“Playing Big” author Tara Sophia Mohr talked about going after your dream, no matter how big or small.

CLAS

Every other Friday morning, all students and faculty meet outside for our Friday CLAS Assembly.

Along with their classmates, students build their confidence by practicing public speaking skills. Presentations vary from skits, songs, and poems to sharing grade projects.

CLAS stands for Community, Learning, Appreciation, and Sharing and is an important reminder for our community that we are supportive, creative, compassionate, and courageous together.

ANNUAL ART SHOW

Each May our campus transforms into an art gallery, displaying work from all of our students throughout the year. Older students make a short presentation describing how their art was made and what their inspiration was.  In groups, students go on a treasure hunt to learn more about all of the art shown.
