financial aid

Saklan is committed to being a school containing students who are academic excellent and socio-economically diverse, and to achieve both these things, we are committed to offering financial assistance to offset the cost of tuition.

This program is available only to families who qualify for assistance by demonstrated need via registering with the School  and Student Service for Financial Aid (SSS) (http://www.nais.org/financialaid/sss/)  program of the National Association of Independent Schools.

Assistance is offered to families who qualify on an as-available basis depending on the availability of these funds in the school’s budget. Currently, about 20% of Saklan families receive financial assistance for tuition.

Please note...

A full listing can be located online at www.baprivateschools.com/financing.htm. You are encouraged to apply for all that are appropriate.

In the case of divorce or separation, both parents/guardians are expected to contribute to the payment of their child’s tuition regardless of legal agreements. A student’s custodial and non-custodial parents, as well as those parents’ current spouses, are expected to submit an application to SSS for evaluation.

The Financial Aid Committee makes decisions regarding financial grants after a review of all information and independent of the admission process. Please be assured that all information will be kept in strictest confidence.

The School admits students of any race, color, religion, national and ethnic origin, or handicap to all the rights, privileges, programs and activities of the School. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, gender, religion, sexual orientation, national or ethnic origin in the administration of its educational policies, assistance programs, athletic or other school administered programs.
