Welcome to Camp Saklan

Saklan Summer Kindergarten Readiness

Schooling has been pushed down to an earlier age; therefore the expectation of what they should know before entering Kindergarten has also raised. Researchers have proved that children who are well prepared for Kindergarten tend to have more confidence and success in school. Before the age of 5, children learn to become life long learners.Kindergarten Readiness is a new program which is incorporated into our Summer Camp. The goal of the Kindergarten Readiness Program is to provide a head start for the children before they enter Kindergarten.

General Information

Staff
Our Summer staff is composed of qualified teachers with backgrounds in Early Childhood, Child Development and Elementary Education. Each teacher and staff member is well-trained, certified in C.P.R./First Aid, and displays love and respect for children.

Online or Phone Registration
Saklan is going paperless for its Camp Saklan Registration. Visit www.saklan.org to register online. If you do not have an Internet connection, call our office and we will register you over the phone. Camp Saklan online registration forms are comprehensive and easy to use. Early Bird Discount: $25 will be deducted from the total fees for each camper who registers before March 31st 2008.

Upon receipt of the registration material, our office will send a confirmation packet. If your program, course or trip is full or in jeopardy of cancellation you will be informed of the status and your fees will be refunded in full. The priority registration deadline is May 1, 2008 for all sessions to enable the camp to hire the appropriate number of staff. Applications will be accepted after the priority deadline, and may be enrolled based on space availability.

Payment
All payments are due May 31st, 2008.

Deposit and Processing Fee
A nonrefundable deposit of $250 or the total tuition, whichever is less, is required at time of registration. Registration cannot be processed without the deposit. The deposit is credited toward the payment of each week or session enrolled. Priority registration is due by May 1st, 2008. There is also a $5 processing fee that will be added to your total.

Refund Policy
The fees for all programs include a non-refundable deposit of $250. You will receive a 50% refund, less the deposit, if you withdraw by June 1, 2008. No refunds will be issued after that date. No refunds can be made to a student who, for disciplinary reasons, is asked to leave the program.

Sign-Up and Billing for Extended Hours
You will receive an extended day enrollment form in your confirmation packet. All extended hours will be billed every three weeks of camp. Extended hours are based on the time that your child is actually signed in and out of the program, beyond program hours.

Signing in and Out
Because we are a state licensed program, adults dropping off or picking up a child must sign in and check out the child every day.
