At Camp Saklan, our goal is to provide a safe, nurturing environment that expands our children’s minds and hearts each day. Through the summer camp program we offer an enriching educational and recreational experience that addresses the needs of each of our campers.

Our programs focus on providing our children with a variety of experiences in which to develop emotionally, socially, physically, and intelltectually. We emphasize respect for self and others, responsibility, and cooperation. We believe that offering this type of summer experience will help children flourish into healthy, well-adjusted young people. It is our goal that each child at Camp Saklan leaves with an increased feeling of self-confidence, greater enthusiasm for learning, and new friendships.

Each summer we offer two main programs, one for preschool/kindergarten children and one for elementary school children. Each program has been designed and planned to offer students an age appropriate curriculum, and to provide families flexibility in scheduling. We offer the choice of three attendance options: morning session only, afternoon session only, or full day. Our summer camp is planned to provide children with recreational experiences such as creating art, exploring nature and science, and working on a drama production, as well as fun and stimulating activities such as swimming and soccer. Exciting field trips are scheduled to enhance the weekly theme or session curriculum. Finally, we also offer extended care before and after camp for your convenience. Our complete program is designed to create a well-balanced summer camp experience for all participants.

Tech Know How Camps

TechKnowHow offers fun and enriching Computer and LEGO Summer Camps for students, ages 8-164.

Our classes include Game Design, LEGO® Projects with Motors, Robotics, 3D Movie-Making and Introduction to Programming. They feature high-interest, age-appropriate projects which teach technology and science skills. For complete class information, go to:

Elementary Program (Entering First through Fifth Grades )

The Camp Saklan program takes place in three sessions. Each session is three weeks long (see next pages for more details). Parents can sign up for morning, afternoon or a full day program. Each session has a specific focus of concentration in science, lego engineering or art.
The afternoon program is a recreational program that includes a variety of sports, games, and arts & crafts. Swimming and tennis instruction will be offered for an additional fee. Sign-ups for the morning and full day programs are for a full session only. Sign-ups for the afternoon recreational program are by the week or session. Morning and afternoon snacks will be provided.

Elementary Field Trips

Field trips are a part of our recreational program for elementary school age children only. Children enrolled in the full day Elementary program will begin the days at 8:30 A.M. and end at 4:30 P.M. The Field Trips are created for adventurous fun, and provide an educational experience too. Field trips are included when you register for a full day program. If you sign up only for the morning or afternoon program, you may also sign up for field trips for an additional fee. Morning and afternoon snacks are provided.
Extended Day will also be available.

Music Program

The Camp Saklan Music Program is going into its 22nd successful year. Private lessons are offered to all students (Pre-K to Fifth Grade) on piano, violin, cello, and drums. Small group lessons are offered to students in grades 4 and 5 on flute, clarinet, alto sax, tenor sax, trumpet, trombone, baritone horn, tuba and drums.
