Board Updates

Your Board of Trustees would like to welcome our newest board member, parent Chris Crespi. Chris and his wife, Cynthia, have a son Wyatt who is a Kindergartener. Chris brings a variety of skills and board experience to our board and we look forward to working with him.

Saklan Carnival Tomorrow, Saturday May 17 form 10-3

Please come join the fun on
Saturday, May 17th!
Hours: 10:00 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Where: Saklan Valley School
1678 School Street in Moraga

The carnival features:

An Inflatable Obstacle Course, a bouncy house and giant slide, dunk tank, cake walk, the exciting velcro wall, and fun games for all ages!

We still need some volunteers. Please fill in the form below if you are willing to give us a hand.

Graduation - Wednesday, June 11th - Mark your Calendar

The entire community is invited to attend Saklan's graduation ceremony on Wednesday, June 11th from 8:30AM-11:30AM at the Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church next door to Saklan. Parents are invited to arrive by 8:30AM and the ceremony will begin at 9. The event will include presentations by students from all different grade levels, speeches from the advisors, and - of course - the receiving of diplomas! Please plan on joining us for this special event.

 

PARENT ASSOCIATION MEETING

Wednesday, May 21st

Please join us for our last Parent Association meeting of the year this coming Wednesday, May 21st at 8:30am. The meeting will be held at the church next door and refreshments will be served. Important business includes voting in next year’s slate of officers (below) and reflecting on the year concluded. Some 5th grade students will be giving a presentation about the Mosaic Project. And Mr. Hague will discuss planning for next school year. We hope to see you there!

Camp Saklan Updates

Please don’t delay in signing up your child for Camp Saklan 2008!

Camp SaklanOur elementary day camp is offering science with Mrs. Obenchain, Lego Engineering classes, art lessons, swimming, games, crafts and much more.

We have limited spaces available. Registration is open until May 31, 2008 through our website www.saklan.org. Click on the summer camp link or contact Kim Parks at kparks@saklan.org.
